If you’re looking for an idea for adding some colour and style to a certain room in your house then this “Renew in 2” project is just for you without spending thousands of dollars. Here’s a great way you can create unique artwork for your home.
If you’re using water-based paint soak your brush in an inch of water for 10-15min, then remove and spin in between your hands to remove excess water.
Prepare your art space by using drop sheets to protect the area from any unexpected mess. Lay 2 paper sheets next to each other to have easy access and ensure consistent brush strokes.
Using your Monarch 38mm Moulding & Skirting Brush, apply your first colour in a straight line. Repeat the same process on the opposite side of the same paper sheet. On the 2nd paper, apply the same colour in the centre, creating a big, thick brush stroke.
Using your Monarch 22mm Windows and Doors Brush, make a straight brush stroke right next to your first line. Use a lighter contrasting colour to give your canvas a beautiful colour variation.
For your third line, use Monarch 25mm Detail Brush to a add metallic or textured colour to give an uplifting effect to your canvas.
Once the paint is dry, install both your canvases in wooden frames in different directions to give it 2 different styling effects. Congratulations, you’re all done! Be sure to wash your brushes and store your paint and other accessories properly for use on your next project.
